England flanker Chris Robshaw talks about Eddie Jones’ impact

Chris Robshaw has revealed his close network of family and friends helped him be able to put World Cup disappointment behind him.

“A lot of that is down to the support I’ve had,” Robshaw told talkSPORT.

“Having Camilla [his wife] at home, my family, my friends, my teammates – Eddie [Jones] himself – just gives you the confidence and support to go out there and play the way you play.

“Eddie is fantastic at that – he knows how to get the best out of people.

“His man-management is pretty special and I think you’ve seen that all the players are continuing to improve.”

Robshaw then spoke to the station about this weekend’s fast approaching clash with Australia on Saturday.

“They’re the last side to beat New Zealand and they’ve just beaten Wales as well,” Robshaw added.

“So they’ll be coming in pretty confident and we know whenever we play the Australians there are only a handful of points in it, either way.

“It is one of those games that always goes down to the wire – it is very intense – and it’s a part of the sport that people love.

“England-Australia clashes, whether it’s rugby or cricket, are always great to be part of. It shows how much people care when they come to this.

“And speaking to friends and loved-ones, they’re so excited about this game and what Twickenham is going to be like.”
