The Bath man’s game was cut short against Georgia as he picked up an injury in the 38th minute after breaking the line on a classic arching run to set-up a try for full-back Elliott Daly for England’s most eye-catching score of the game.
It looked like Joseph had injured his leg as he was helped from the field by a pair of medical staff supporting his weight with his arms around their shoulders. But post-match England boss Jones confirmed the injury was just a ‘back spasm’ and he is ‘hopeful’ the back will be available to face Ireland next weekend.
