England Next Head Coach Odds: Who Is Favourite To Succeed Under Pressure Eddie Jones

#2. Scott Robertson 6/1

#1. Steve Borthwick 3/1

Having taken charge of the Tigers in 2020, Borthwick has overseen a huge turnaround at the club, transforming them from Premierships strugglers to pace-setters at the top of the table.

As such, his is a name very much linked to the England post.

The Leicester job is the first head coaching gig in his career, however, so the 42-year-old would be thrown in very green.

Steve Borthwick facts:

  1. Born in Carlisle, Cumbria, Borthwick was captain of the Hutton Grammar School rugby team
  2. He was appointed the England forwards coach in December 2015; a role which he left in mid 2020 to become head coach of Leicester Tigers
  3.  Borthwick captained Bath to victory in the 2007–08 European Challenge Cup
  4. A member of England’s wider 2003 World Cup squad, he narrowly missed selection to the final 30.
