England squad update ahead of Japan

Eddie Jones has selected 30 players to begin training on Tuesday ahead of England’s third Test of the Quilter Internationals against Japan at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday (KO 3pm live on Sky Sports HD).

The group include uncapped Ted Hill, Nick Schonert, Elliott Stooke and Joe Cokanasiga, with Hill included as an apprentice.

George Kruis has been ruled out of England’s final two autumn matches against Japan and Austraila because of a calf injury sustained against New Zealand.

Kruis was replaced by Charlie Ewels in the 66th minute of the 16-15 defeat at Twickenham and will not play any part in the remaining Quilter Internationals against Japan and Australia.

Saturday’s match against Japan will be the first time the two side’s have met each other since 1987 with England ending their November internationals versus Australia on 24 November.
