Saracens hooker Jamie George wants to become England’s number one, which is currently occupied by captain Dylan Hartley by the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
“I’d love to be involved in that squad,” George told The Times.
“Eddie often speaks about that World Cup and being the No 1 team in the world by then.
“I want to be peaking there.

“I’ll be 28 heading into that tournament and I hope to be pushing to start, as close to that team as I can.”
“The importance that Eddie puts on the ‘finishers’ – the bench – definitely helps,” George added.
“I would always try to challenge them in terms of what more [the coaching staff] needed to see from me.”
