Exeter to sign Ollie Devoto from Bath on a three-year deal

  • Exeter signs Ollie Devoto from Bath for next season
  • The 22-year-old was a surprise inclusion in Eddie Jones’ 33-man England squad for the Six Nations
  • Bath had offered the fly-half a new deal
Exeter have completed the signing of new England call-up Ollie Devoto from Bath on a three-year deal from the start of next season.

The uncapped centre becomes the Chiefs’ second major signing for next term following Australia international prop Greg Holmes.

Devoto was among seven uncapped players named by new England head coach Eddie Jones in his squad on Wednesday ahead of this season’s RBS 6 Nations Championship.

“It’s a good move for me,” Devoto told the Exeter Chiefs’ website.

“Exeter are a very good club and they’ve shown over a number of years that they are very ambitious.

“I like the values they have created, especially in terms of working hard, and that kind of mirrors what I demand of myself.”

Exeter are currently second in the Premiership table, while Bath are ninth having lost five of their opening eight games.
