We asked England fans to rank the three very best players to wear the famous white shirt along with who’d they consider the worst or most disappointing.
The results were rather surprising with legends such as Lawrence Dallaglio, Jason Leonard and Richard Hill all missing out on the top three.
At the other end of the scale, under capped Danny Cipriani may count himself lucky not to be among the three most disappointing call-ups.
Check out who topped the controversial polls below.
BEST: #3: Maro Itoje – 18%
Itoje made three Test appearances for the British & Irish Lions against New Zealand in 2017 and was part of the squad that reached the 2019 Rugby World Cup final. He was named European Player of the Year in 2016 after picking up the man of the match in his club’s European Champions Cup final triumph.
DID YOU KNOW? He is the cousin of Bath’s loosehead prop Beno Obano and Gloucester winger Ollie Thorley
WORST: #3: Lesley Vainikolo – 22%
The Volcano’ stormed onto the scene for Gloucester, doing something ridiculous like scoring five tries on his debut against Leeds, before qualifying for England on residency grounds.
International honours followed, with Vainikolo making his England debut against Wales in 2008. However, he failed to bring his try-scoring form to the international scene and was quickly dropped from Martin Johnston’s squad after winning five caps.
