The former England lock, now serving as the forwards coach with the Rebels at 40, brings his expertise to bolster Australia’s preparations as they gear up to host the British & Irish Lions next year and set their sights on the 2027 World Cup.

This marks Parling’s return to the national setup, having previously served as a Wallabies assistant under Dave Rennie during the 2020 Test season.

“It’s an honour to coach the Wallabies and to work alongside Joe and the coaching group he has put together,” said Parling.

“The events on the horizon for the Wallabies and Australian rugby represent an incredible opportunity for everyone involved in the game.”
