Former England star comes out of retirement and wins county cup

At the age of 37, Tom Varndell continues to defy time and showcase his enduring talent on the rugby field.

The former England international, who now serves as a player-coach for Oxford Harlequins in the Regional 1 South Central club, recently added another winner’s medal to his impressive collection.

Varndell started on the left wing for Oxford Harlequins in their triumphant 33-15 victory against Witney in the Oxfordshire County Cup.

Alongside his coaching duties, Varndell also holds a pivotal role as the head of rugby at Oxford Brookes University, where the club shares a close alliance. In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Varndell also serves as a rugby agent, showcasing his multifaceted involvement in the sport.

With his wealth of experience and unwavering passion for the game, Varndell continues to make his mark in the rugby community, leaving a lasting legacy as a player, coach, and influential figure in the sport.
