A controversial fundraising page set up by sacked Australian rugby player Israel Folau has been shut down for promoting the exclusion of LGBT people, website GoFundMe says.
Here’s how the rugby world has reacted:
Amazing news that @IzzyFolau’s @gofundme page has been shut down! Time to wind your neck in Israel and accept your contract was terminated due to your behaviour! https://t.co/6JMgpuZRrv

Since the ARU terminated Israel Folau’s contract it’s safe to say his profile has plummeted—and deservedly so. The latest round of news about him are an obvious cry of desperation for a man trying to cling on to relevance. He deserves no sympathy. Sport is better off without him.

Go Fund Me have basically given Folau a Go Fu*k Yourself.

A total of $765k was donated to @IzzyFolau’s @gofundme page..

That amount is set to be refunded to all those who donated.
Wouldn’t it be amazing if everyone decided to re-donate their pledges towards other peoples pages who are in a fight of their life?!
Morning. GoFundMe shutting down Folau’s account. That’s a great start to the week.
