Manu Tuilagi’s powerhouse nephew receives his first senior international call-up

The French rugby federation has officially announced the six players released from Fabien Galthie’s Guinness Six Nations squad for the upcoming round of Top 14 fixtures.

Additionally, they have unveiled the names of five promising young players who will step in and join the national team training in their absence, which includes the nephew of Manu Tuilagi.

A statement read: “As part of the agreement between the FFR and the LNR for the provision of players from professional clubs for the 2024 Six Nations tournament, six players from the XV de France have been made available to their club: ABADIE Esteban, BARLOT Gaëtan, GAILLETON Emilien, HALAGAHU Matthias, JAMINET Melvyn, ROUMAT Alexandre.

“Five players called up for Thursday: ATTISSOGBE Theo, BARRÉ Léo, BAUDONNE Maxime, NOUCHI Lenni, TUILAGI Posolo.”

France open their Six Nations campaign with a home match versus defending champions Ireland on February 2 in Marseille next Friday night.

#1. Less TMO

Owens wrote: “We should aim for good performances that facilitate good games. In my opinion, perfect has become the enemy of the good because people are striving for a standard that is unachievable. A frustrating over-reliance on the TMO is one result of this fear of getting things wrong.

“Pressure is being exerted on referees by spectators, social media users, coaches, players, performance reviewers and referee managers. That is a lot of people scrutinising everything. I think we need to take a step back and make sure we pick up the things that matter.”
