Bristol Bears have confirmed that they packed more fans into Ashton Gate than ever before this season, with a new average match attendance record set for the 2022/23 Gallagher Premiership. This is certainly a positive outcome of what has been a turbulent Premiership season, with the Bears taking to social media with the announcement.
It is certainly a promising sign for the future of the Gallagher Premiership, to see Bristol Bears to achieve record highs at Ashton Gate. This Premiership campaign has been overshadowed by the mid-season departures of Worcester Warriors and Wasps, as well as the ever-tightening grip of the salary cap.
Elsewhere in the Premiership, London Irish have also presented increases in their attendances. Rugby Inside Line reported how the Exiles have been bringing in the fans across the leagues, with noteable increases in attendance against the likes of Newcastle Falcons, Gloucester, Sale Sharks and Saracens.
