“New Threads” – The Newest Kits for the Rugby World Cup and 2023/24 Season

As we move ever closer to the 2023 Rugby World Cup and following season, the latest kits are being released by clubs and countries. Now is it the perfect time to run down the new jerseys, for the Rugby World Cup and across the domestic leagues.

Some of these kits have stuck to a tried and tested design proving ‘if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it’, whereas others have pushed the boundaries with some polarising designs.

  1. New Zealand

We have to start off our run-down with the latest release from the All Blacks. The classic black-out kit has received an update, in the form of New Zealand’s iconic ferns, which lay across the jersey in partially-visible dark grey. This new release has certainly split the public opinion ahead of the 2023 Rugby World Cup, as many rugby fans prefer a classic look from the All Blacks.

However, there is no denying the bold direction the All Blacks are taking with this new design. This kit could well be remembered in decades to come, as Sam Whitelock looks to become the first rugby player to ever win three Rugby World Cups.
