Manu Tuilagi – Sale Sharks
England’s powerhouse centre is lining up a potential move to France, as the Premiership’s salary cap limitations are halting Sale from resigning Manu Tuilagi. After arriving from Leicester Tigers on a one-year contract in July 2020, Tuilagi agreed a contract extension the following year, yet his time at the AJ Bell is looking to come to an end.
Tuilagi is linked with a move to Racing 92, after having one last crack at the Rugby World Cup with England. The Rugby Paper reports how Tuilagi is interested in a move to Paris, yet has also received interest from Toulouse and Toulon. Racing 92 offered Tuilagi a staggering £830,000 salary back in 2019, with former England Head Coach Eddie Jones stopping the move, to keep Tuilagi in England ahead of that year’s Rugby World Cup.
The Top 14 will undergo a bidding war for the 31-year-old come the end of the season, with Racing 92 the favourites for the signature.
