The Billy Vunipola transfer saga continues, with the number eight’s future as yet unconfirmed at the Stone X Stadium. A mainstay at Saracens since arriving in 2013, Vunipola has achieved great hights with the club, winning four Premiership titles, and three Champions Cup titles.

Reports of Vunipola’s exit began with links to France fulling the rumour mill. However, the 30-year-old added more options to his possible exit, speaking with former Scotland international Jim Hamilton, on the Big Jim Show podcast. Vunipola highlighted how a move to Japan, or even Super Rugby could be on the cards.

“I’ll be in a better position to make a call on… if teams look at me and think ‘He can actually help our team’ instead of being a hindrance or not being that good.
