“No decision made” – Harlequins offered six figure transfer fee for one of their star players

Harlequins are in a quandary over one of their top talents following a mammoth transfer proposal for his expertise.

Despite being tied down for another season, the formidable South African sensation, Andre Esterhuizen, continues to draw the attention of numerous clubs.

Word has it that he’s turned down advances from French heavyweights Toulon and is now topping the wish lists of various Japanese outfits.

In line with a report from Afrikaans publication Rapport, the Sharks are eager to reel the Springbok back into their ranks but face shelling out a hefty £500,000 to Harlequins.

Nevertheless, insiders reveal that despite the steep price tag, the Sharks’ bigwigs remain optimistic about coaxing the centre back to Durban.

Planet Rugby 6/10: “Not a huge carrying threat but a smart operator. Took his try well and is a good distributor on the gain line, although he needs to show more in the rest of the Six Nations.”

Replacement: Ollie Lawrence or Manu Tuilagi (If fit)
