Premiership Rugby confirm competition is cancelled

Following Premiership Rugby’s statement earlier this month confirming further extension of the suspension of the 2019/20 Gallagher Premiership season, it’s been confirmed that this season’s remaining Premiership Shield fixtures have been cancelled by Premiership Rugby.

All remaining Gallagher Premiership, Premiership Shield fixtures and the Premiership Rugby Cup final were first announced as suspended on the 16th of March, but following continued assessment of the coronavirus pandemic, the Premiership Shield fixtures have been confirmed as cancelled.

25 things EVERYBODY hates about modern rugby

1. FOOTBALL-ESQUE BEHAVIOUR

Whether it be idiotic Coaches or even dumber players, there is no place in rugby for the kind of behaviour.

2. SWAN DIVES

4. SCRUM RESETS

How have we got to the point where it seems we need 3 attempts at every scrum before the front rowers seem capable of holding themselves up. It’s not just that though, it’s the 30 seconds between each reset cleaning boots and complaining that means we lose vast quantities of game time watching this farce.

5. PEOPLE FILMING GAMES THEY’RE AT

Hundreds holding up phones in the vain hope they get a crap recording of a try to ‘share’ later. Why, it’s almost as if everyone knowing you were at the game is more important to you than actually being there.
