REPORT: Zach Mercer secures Premiership return following chats with Eddie Jones

The Telegraph have reported this evening that Zach Mercer will return to the Gallagher Premiership this season, which makes the England number 8 eligible for next year’s Rugby World Cup.

They’ve reported this evening that ‘Gloucester are understood to have landed the signing of Zach Mercer‘.

Mercer confirmed earlier this summer that Eddie Jones had been in touch over his international future.

“I think he respects me a lot more that I took this opportunity and have gone to France because I wanted to develop my game,” said Mercer on the RugbyPass Offload podcast.

“I think he looks at me slightly differently than he did before.”
