The chances of back-rower Ross Moriarty staying in Wales have increased significantly with him winning his wage appeal with the Welsh Rugby Union.
Moriarty, who is out of contract in the summer, had been linked with a host of teams, such as French clubs Toulon, Montpellier and Lyon, plus English sides Exeter Chiefs and Leicester Tigers.
A wage-banding system currently operates in Wales, with the salaries of the elite 38 players being decided by a Professional Rugby Board (PRB) panel when they're up for a contract renewal.
According to Wales Online, the WRU has made the decision to change the maximum wage that can be offered to Moriarty, which should encourage him to stay in Wales and continue his international career.
It’s thought Ospreys are very keen on acquiring his services, but the Dragons are also hopeful the man they signed from Gloucester on a big money deal in 2018 will stay with them.

Having played for England Under 18 and Under 20, Moriarty made his Wales international debut against Ireland in August, 2015.
He originally missed out on selection for Warren Gatland’s 2015 World Cup squad but was brought in after Eli Walker’s hamstring injury forced the Ospreys winger out of the tournament.
Moriarty’s father Paul played in the first World Cup in 1987 before forging a successful rugby league career with Widnes.
