Scotland legend Andy Nicol has insisted that Gregor Townsend’s men can bounce back from their narrow defeat to the All Blacks by beating the Wallabies at Murrayfield this weekend.
“Australia will be smarting a bit because they got a bit of a doing down at Twickenham by England.” said Nicol, speaking to betsafe.com.
“Two late tries, some of the decisions didn’t go their way, and they’ll be looking to right those wrongs and finish the season off.
“Australia have really improved this year, at the start of the season I didn’t think they looked that great, but they turned it around undoubtedly.
“They’ve got some great attacking players in Kurtley Beale and Foley, Genia, real playing at the top of their game, and they’ll pose a real threat here.

“They beat the All Blacks just about a month ago, they’ve got really quality, but for me this is all about Scotland now pushing on, and if Scotland can beat Australia on Saturday, which I think they can, then this will be a fantastic Autumn Series.”
