Scotland legend joins backroom staff for Autumn Internationals

Kelly Brown, the former Scotland captain who retired from playing last season, has been added to the squad’s coaching team for the Autumn Internationals. 

Head coach Greg Townsend named him responsible for the “contact zones”, namely the tackling areas and the rucks, for the fall tests.

Scotland mainstays Ross Ford, Greig Laidlaw, Richie Gray, Sean Maitland, Duncan Taylor, Matt Scott and Adam Ashe are out through injury, while John Hardie is not considered for selection pending an internal investigation into alleged cocaine abuse.

The series kicks off against Samoa on Saturday.
