Sergio Parisse confirmed in an interview with Midi Olympique that he will continue to play with Italy.
The captain of the national team, 36 years old and 142 cap assets, has decided to play on after his send-off against New Zealand was cancelled due to typhoon Hagibis.
“I’ve read everywhere that my international career is over, but it’s wrong,” said Parisse in an excerpt taken from the official blog of Toulon fans.

“My final with Italy is yet to be written. It will not be a typhoon to end my adventure with the national team “.
So far, Parisse has never given concrete statements about his future with the national team, not even before the World Cup in Japan, although in the last few weeks his willingness to play for Italy in 2020 was given for sure.
