Shane Williams wants two changes for the Lions second Test

Wales and Lions legend Shane Williams wants Warren Gatland to make two changes for the second Test against the All Blacks in Wellington next Saturday.

“Liam Williams must continue at full-back – but George North could come into the equation.” wrote Williams in The Rugby Paper.

“I was surprised by the decision to leave him out, but also understood why Warren Gatland made the call.

“A hungry George with a point to prove could help the Lions back into the series.

“So with that in mind, I would bring him in on the right wing in place of Watson in what is a marginal call.”

“In the pack, Maro Itoje also has to start for me.

“There is so much strength there, but I think his impact off the bench after replacing Alun Wyn Jones was too much to ignore.

“So for me, it’s George and Maro in for Wellington and Alun Wyn and Anthony out.”
