Six England Rugby legends come out of retirement to play in one-off game

England Rugby will be live on Facebook & YouTube at 7:30pm tonight as a host of ex-internationals take part in their special game, where they’ll play alongside a group of grassroots heroes at a local rugby club.

LEGENDS WHO WILL PLAY TODAY:

#1. Phil Vickery

  • Age: 46
  • England caps: 73
  • Period: 1998-2010
  • Position: Tighthead-prop

Given the nickname “Raging Bull”, he played in three Rugby World Cups, including as England captain in the 2007 tournament, and toured Australia and South Africa with the British & Irish Lions. 

He was a member of England’s World Cup winning squad in 2003, playing in all seven matches in the tournament.

DID YOU KNOW? Vickery has an Oriental tattoo on his left shoulder which roughly translates to “I’ll fight you to the death“, and a bulldog tattoo on his right.
