Springbok fly-half Pat Lambie confirms move to Europe

Patrick Lambie has been released from his Sharks and Springboks contracts and will join Racing 92 as he seeks a fresh start.

Lambie has had terrible luck with injuries, mainly concussion-related ever since the sickening knock with CJ Stander against Ireland with some fearing he might be forced into early retirement.

The good news for Springbok fans is that Lambie will still be eligible for Bok selection due to having played more than 30 Tests.

It is understood that Lambie wants a fresh start and believes a geographical re-location might be just the tonic needed to change his fortunes.

Lambie amassed over 100 caps for his beloved Sharks, whom he joined straight out of school. He has 56 Bok caps to his name and will be desperate to add to that tally.
