STATEMENT: Joe Marler breaks silence after being ‘humiliated’ by Eben Etzebeth

Rugby stars Joe Marler and Eben Etzbeth had lively afternoons as they came face-to-face in the Champions Cup.

Despite a huge first half blunder from Marler, Quins came away 39-29 winners against the Sharks..

Marler was positioned behind the ruck. However, after the ruck was shifted, Marler was suddenly only gripping the ruck with his hand instead of his shoulder, which Etzebeth shrewdly noticed.

Later in the game, the prop was observed gesturing towards Etzebeth, indicating that he was engaged in the ruck and instructing him to stay back.

Etzebeth simply chuckled at Marler’s antics, knowing that he had the upper hand on the England prop.
