Lions head coach Warren Gatland has already called up England’s Marcus Smith and Ireland’s Ronan Kelleher after they impressed for their respective countries this weekend.
Below we look at three other players who put in standout displays this weekend.
- Wales 20-20 Argentina
- Ireland 71-10 USA
- England 70-14 Canada
- Scotland P-P Romania
#1. Adam Radwan (England)
What Eddie Jones described as an extraordinary try for Newcastle last month tempted him into taking a punt on the unheralded 23-year-old and impressive training runs left the coach enthusing “he is quick, lightning-quick”.
Wing Radwan showed his electric pace to make a big impression on his debut, becoming the first England player to score a hat-trick on his debut since a certain Jeremy Guscott. Radwan took a high ball on the halfway line and accelerated away to bring up his hat-trick in sensational fashion.
