He joins a month after Sale Sharks sacked him for leaking team information
Yorkshire Carnegie have announced the signing of Tom Arscott following his sacking by Sale.
The 29-year-old met his brother, Bristol back Luke, at their team hotel the night before Bristol’s 24-23 Premiership win at Sale on 1 January.
Arscott, who also received a written warning from the Rugby Football Union, could make his Carnegie debut against Jersey on Friday.
“I am really pleased to have joined up with Yorkshire Carnegie and I am looking forward to getting started against Jersey on Friday,” he said.

“It has been a tough few weeks but I am looking forward to letting my rugby do the talking for the remainder of the season.
“I have been made to feel really welcome by the Yorkshire lads and it has certainly helped that I knew quite a few of them from previous clubs.
“The Greene King IPA Championship is a tough division and it has got stronger in recent years since I last played in it.
“The lads were disappointed with the defeat against Cornish Pirates last weekend but the talk is all about getting things back on track and challenging London Irish all the way until the end of the season.”
