LIST: 5 England World Cup picks who are sons of rugby legends

Five of his squad for the tournament come from a lineage of international rugby players and here they are:

Born in Sydney and the son of former Tongan international Fe’ao, Billy and his brother Mako, who was born in New Zealand, qualify for England through residency. 

The son of rugby league great and former England centre Andy, who won eight caps, Farrell is one of the rising stars of English rugby with his game management and goal-kicking prowess making him an exciting option at either fly-half or centre.

Nick, who played for Bedford, Leicester Tigers and England, at Scrum-half, gained six England caps between 1983-1984. Youngs and his sons hold the rare distinction of all starting in test wins over New Zealand - Youngs starting at scrum-half in England's 15-9 1983 win, and Ben (scrum-half) and Tom (hooker) in England's 38-21 victory in 2012.

Mike plated for both England and Great Britain in rugby league. Three of his sons play rugby union - George plays for Leicester Tigers, and England, and Joe for Leicester Tigers. His youngest son Jacob was the Attack coach for Loughborough Students before being named as Head Coach for Westcliff Rugby Club In August 2019.
