Ruan Pienaar will no longer wear the Montpellier jersey after the South African scrum-half cancelled his last year of contract due to personal reasons.
He rushed home on February 15 following the death of his sister in a car accident the day before Montpellier were due to face Perpignan.
“A decision understood and accepted by Montpellier Hérault Rugby” indicates the MHR in a statement .

Pienaar himself added: “I want to thank my teammates with whom I have played for the past two seasons and all the fans, and I wish the club every success for years to come.”
His family have reportedly moved back to Belfast, fuelling speculation he could rejoin Ulster.
