Bath have been in talks with Wasps fly-half Danny Cipriani and a contract offer has been made, according to Somerset Live.
They suggested that we should find out later this week whether the deal is completed or not should become clear this week.
The 30-year-old former England playmaker is out of contract this summer, with New Zealand’s Lima Sopoaga coming in to replace him at the Ricoh Arena.

The story of a possible move to the Rec was first reported by The Sun newspaper last week, but the Chronicle understands Cipriani expressed openness to a hypothetical move as far back as December, when he knew this was to be his final season at Wasps.
More recently, there have been talks between Cipriani’s representatives and Bath, and a potential one- or two-year deal has been discussed.
There have also been reports of French and Japanese clubs making moves for playmakers, meaning the black, blue and whites would likely face competition for his signature.
