The 29-year-old said: “I’m really looking forward to joining Bath next season – it’s a new challenge for me, and one that I’m really looking forward to. Having spoken to Todd, I know how ambitious the club is, which is one of the main factors behind my decision.
“I’m fortunate to have won the (Aviva) Premiership with Exeter, and with the world-class talent in Bath’s ranks, I’m confident that we can put ourselves in contention for silverware over the next couple of seasons.”
He added: “I’ve had six unbelievable years with the Chiefs. I’ve been very lucky to be part of something very special here at the club and the friends I’ve made during my time in Exeter will last for a lifetime.

“I knew when I moved to the Chiefs from Newcastle that I was joining a hugely ambitious club and that has proved the case. Each year people have seen the progression of the club and to be part of the team that won the Premiership last year was a very special moment for me.
“Although I’ve not got that long left with the club, I’m determined to make sure I end my time here with the Chiefs on a real high. We’re in a great position in the league and we’ve still got so much to play for, so I’ll be doing all I can to help us achieve a big finish.”
