WATCH: All Blacks perform haka after being awarded Spain’s top sporting prize
The All Blacks were honoured in Spain overnight, being awarded the Princesca de Asturias award for sporting success at the Campoamor theatre in Asturias.
The award is handed out to acknowledge those who make a significant achievement in science, humanities or public affairs, established by Felipe, Prince of Asturias in 1980.
A delegation from New Zealand Rugby, including CEO Steve Tew, current players Israel Dagg and Jordie Barrett and legends Keven Mealamu and Conrad Smith accepted the honour.
After accepting the award, Mealamu led the rest of the players in a haka to the gathered audience.
