England U20 and Wasps prop Alfie Barbeary was red carded for an illegal tackle just minutes after coming against Ireland.
The 18-year-old arrived from the bench in the final quarter of the Pool B match in Sante Fe with his side trailing by 28-26.
Playing against 14 men for the remainder of the game, Ireland scored two further tries to win the opening round clash 42-26.
