Will Greenwood the latest rugby star to be robbed

Will Greenwood has become the second player in a matter of days to have personal possessions stolen from his car.

The World Cup winner appealed to the person who stole his briefcase to return it to the club.

He tweeted: “If you are the person who stole my briefcase from my car Maidenhead Rugby Club car park – You will by now have found my I.D.

“It has all my GCSE teaching notes for Maths.. Would be delighted if you returned it to the club. Thank you.”

This comes days after Sam Matavesi, who took part in the Rugby World Cup playing for Fiji, had all of his kit stolen from his car.

“After arriving from Japan I stayed the evening in London,” he wrote on his Facebook page.

“We stayed in Shoreditch and parked the car overnight at NCP Finsbury Square car park, when we returned the following day our car had been burgled and my World Cup kit bags had been stolen from the car.”

He said the bags contained three Fiji World Cup jerseys, signed Fiji shirts, a cap, a presentation medal, rugby and gym gear and personal belongings.

He continued “Could you please share this/and look out for any shirts/kit/boots etc that come up online, or you hear or see anything from around the area. Thanks in advance.”
