New Scotland boss Gregor Townsend has led the boys in blue to back-to-back wins against Italy and Australia on their summer tour.
And following their win yesterday against the Wallabies, the Scots moved up to fourth, overtaking the men in gold in the process.
Meanwhile, Ireland, who needed a Scotland win, and to win themselves by 15 points or more (they won by 28) against Japan move up to third respectively.
The rankings will be officially released by World Rugby on Monday.
Has there ever been a time before where three of the top four are from the Northern Hemisphere?!
