BREAKING: Danny Care dropped from latest England squad

England scrum-half Danny Care has been dropped for Saturday’s match against Australia at Twickenham.

Centre Alex Lozowski and number eight Zach Mercer have also been left out of head coach Eddie Jones’ 28-man squad for the final autumn fixture.

The group includes uncapped Elliott Stooke while Ted Hill is again included as an apprentice, following his international debut on Saturday. Piers Francis is also named in the squad, as is Nathan Hughes who is now available after suspension.

England will now end their Quilter Internationals against Australia next Saturday, with Jones acknowledging both sides will be hoping to end their year on a high.

“They’ve had a tough year, a bit like us, it’s their last game of the year, as it is ours so we’ll both be looking for a winning performance.”
