Dan Carter weighs in with his choice to start fly-half for the Lions
The All Black is still playing with Racing 92 in France
The British and Irish Lions Team Selection Debate has already begun and you’ve got numerous options in almost every position to discuss heading into the 2017 Six Nations.
The latest man to make a selection forecast is former All Black legend Dan Carter, still playing away with Racing in France.
“Owen Farrell’s been in fantastic form for a year or two and he would be my pick at fly-half.” revealed Carter.
Farrell has experience of beating the ABs at out-half in the past: he was at No.10 in the England side who beat New Zealand in the Autumn series of 2012.
“Warren Gatland’s been pretty open that selection will come down to form and the Six Nations is the perfect platform.” Added Carter.
“But you could question the fact Farrell’s been playing 12 for England. That might work against him”
