“Disaster” – Sam Burgess named the SECOND worst England player of all-time

In a recent feature published by Pundit Arena, the focus is on the five England players who have been considered the poorest to have ever sported the national team jersey.

Among the chosen five, two players with diverse sporting backgrounds manage to secure a spot, but it’s the unquestionable top pick that truly surprises.

The inclusion of these athletes raises the inquiry of how and why they were ever given the opportunity to represent their country on the global stage. Be it their subpar performances, lack of skill, or consistently disappointing outings, these individuals have indelibly left their mark on the wrong side of the spectrum.

As we commence the countdown, it becomes evident that certain players have been a major letdown for a multitude of reasons, causing both fans and pundits to question their selections with disbelief.

Regardless of the cause, these players have earned their place on this ignominious list, solidifying their reputation as the most underwhelming England players in recent memory.

MOST DISAPPOINTING ENGLAND PLAYERS:

#5. Danny Cipriani

World-class on his day, but I don’t think any England fan will argue that the mercurial fly-half winning just 16 caps during his career can only be considered a complete disaster.

He was never able to replicate his club form on the international stage. So disappointing.
