England coach Eddie Jones faces an anxious wait to hear the verdict on Jack Nowell after the Exeter wing suffered an ankle injury during his side’s loss to Saracens in the Premiership final at Twickenham.
Jones was a concerned onlooker as Nowell, who had an outstanding game, was treated on the field before limping off 10 minutes from the end of Saracens’ 37-34 victory on Saturday.
“Jack will have the usual scans but it is too early to say how bad it is. He was in a lot of pain but we can only hope for the best,” said Exeter director of rugby Rob Baxter.
