Eddie Jones is set to add a fresh face to his England coaching staff ahead of their Rugby World Cup quarter-final, which is likely to be against Australia.
He is set to add fellow Aussie and renowned rugby league coach Ricky Stuart to work with the squad.
“It is something that’s been in the planning for a couple of months,” said Stuart. “I know Eddie, he is a world-class operator.”
An RFU spokesperson confirmed the 52-year-old would join the Red Rose camp next week to “exchange ideas” ahead of England’s biggest match since the Aussies knocked them out of the last World Cup.
Stuart even has experience of playing against Jones in his early days in rugby union.
“I played a game of rugby against Eddie when I was a young kid, and I had a day with him when he was coaching the Brumbies,” Stuart added.
