Harlequins playmaker Tommaso Allan will replace star Ange Capuozzo in the Italy team to play Wales in the Six Nations match on Saturday.

Due to a shoulder injury, the Toulouse fullback will not be able to participate in the rest of the tournament.

Capuozzo, who was born in France, will be absent from Italy’s final two matches against Wales and Scotland, having sustained the injury during their defeat to Ireland two weeks ago.

Despite losing all three of their matches thus far, improved Italy has demonstrated impressive performances, with 23-year-old Capuozzo being one of the tournament’s standout players.
