Finn Russell is seemingly unbothered by his shock exclusion from the Scotland squad ahead of the 2022 Autumn Nations Series.
The fly-half was in fine form, kicking 18 total points and setting up three tries as the Parisians overcame league-leaders Montpellier 38-31 in French capital.
Talking after the game, Russell said: “Going back and forward can be tough so it’s good for me to be here and I’m enjoying my rugby here”
Reacting to Russell’s comment, one fan said: “He really doesn’t care does he. No wonder Townsend kicked him to the curb.:
“Bored of Russell thinking he’s world-class,” said another.
The relationship between the mercurial fly-half and head coach Gregor Townsend has been strained in recent times.
The 30-year-old walked out of the Scotland squad in early 2020 ahead of the Six Nations, criticising Townsend’s coaching methods.
He was also dropped from the Scotland team for the final match of the 2022 Six Nations against Ireland on the back of being one of six players who went on unauthorised night out in Edinburgh.
Russell was also subsequently omitted, reportedly rested, from the squad that toured Argentina over the summer.
