REVEALED: The highest and lowest paid rugby positions 2022

Fly-halves are the highest-paid rugby players according to Premiership Rugby’s report into player salaries for the 2020-2021 season.

Theo organisation has released the average salary of every position in a bid to improve transparency following the Saracens salary cap scandal.

Four per cent of players were paid £400,000 or more in the 2020-21 season according to the first ever disclosure of average salaries for top-flight players..

Just under 30 per cent were paid on average between £50,000 and £100,000.
