Gabby Logan's son Reuben is making an impression at Caldy after an encouraging start to the season, with three countries potentially competing for his services at international level.
The 21-year-old back-row forward is currently gaining valuable experience on loan from Sale Sharks.
Logan featured in Caldy's dramatic 28-24 victory over Blackheath last month, helping the Championship side secure their first win of the campaign.
His arrival has attracted attention, with rival coaches aware of the talent Caldy have added to their squad.
Reuben Logan's rugby career so far
The talented youngster comes from an impressive sporting family.
His father, Kenny Logan, won 70 caps for Scotland, while his mother, Gabby, is one of Britain's best-known television presenters.
His grandfather, Terry Yorath, also represented Wales 59 times in football.
Logan began his professional journey at Wasps before joining Northampton Saints in 2023.
He made his senior breakthrough with Saints and gained further experience on loan at Cambridge.
In April 2025, Sale Sharks secured his signature on a two-year deal.
His latest spell with Caldy offers another opportunity to develop his game and push for regular Premiership rugby.
England, Scotland or Wales?
Logan's international future remains particularly interesting.
He previously represented England at Under-18 level before switching to Scotland.
The powerful forward started all five matches for Scotland during the 2025 Under-20 Six Nations.
However, he could also represent Wales through his maternal grandfather, Terry Yorath, who was born in Cardiff.
Under World Rugby's eligibility regulations, age-grade appearances alone do not permanently tie a player to one country.
That leaves England, Scotland and Wales as potential senior international destinations.
For now, Logan's priority will be continuing his development with Caldy and forcing his way into Sale's first-team plans.
