An All Blacks legend has avoided bankruptcy after a lengthy court battle in New Zealand finally came to an end.
Former fly-half Andrew Mehrtens, who won 70 caps for the All Blacks, had faced months of legal action over a debt dispute.
The 53-year-old was at risk of being declared bankrupt after a law firm took the matter to court.
However, the case has now been dropped after both sides reached an agreement.
It brings an end to a difficult period for one of New Zealand rugby's best-known stars.

All Blacks legend's bankruptcy case dropped

The case began when Christchurch law firm Saunders Robinson Brown sought to have Mehrtens declared bankrupt.
The matter first reached the High Court in May, but a judge gave both sides more time to sort out the dispute.
The case was later brought back before the court.
The New Zealand Herald reported in July that the case had been brought to an end.
Further details emerged in August when Radio New Zealand confirmed that the legal action had been withdrawn.
Mehrtens did not attend the short hearing.
The two sides had reached an agreement, although the full terms have not been made public.
The outcome marks a major change from earlier this year, when the former All Blacks star first faced the threat of bankruptcy.
He has not been declared bankrupt as a result of the case.
