England international James Haskell has been accused of 'disrespecting women's rugby' with one of his latest. online comments.
The former flanker told Bristol Bears player Simi Pam to “have a day off” when she correctly corrected an Instagram post that failed to recognise the achievements of England's women players.
Following the exchange, Haskell blocked Pam along with a number of other women's rugby influencers such as RUCK columnist Stella Mills.
“I think you meant to say “most England caps - MALE front row forwards”. Please stop disrespecting the women like this. Because they [sic] way you’ve named this list, we know Rocky Clark tops it. Please do better @goodbadrugby,” wrote Pam.
The response appeared to get under the skin of Haskell, who swiftly replied: “@simipam have a day off.”

Pretty disappointed to see a leading rugby media page disregard the women’s game like this 😒
It’s not hard to put the word “men’s” in front of that graphic is it? 👀

You can’t make this up.
James Haskell telling Simi Pam, who has been a guest on a womens rugby podcast that he himself helped set up, is sending me
She literally speaks about being a role model and using her platform to progress womens rugby ON YOUR PODCAST JAMES
Haskell then amended it to say he had done “more for the growth of the women’s game than anyone”.
Not any of the pioneering generation of women who founded their own unions. Not the women who put houses up to fund WRWC ‘91. Not today’s burst of beloved players.
James Haskell.
Pretty disappointing that this is the response I got for correcting a mistake that GBR made on a (now deleted) post🤷🏾♀️ Like it or not, the most capped front rower (and England player full stop) is a woman. It’s Rocky Clark. Don’t shoot the messenger for pointing out your oversight
