"He was flawless" - 5 players Eddie Jones should take a look at after this weekend

Here, we list five players England head coach Eddie Jones should consider calling up to his Autumn Nations Series squad following impressive performances in the Gallagher Premiership.

#1. George Ford (Leicester Tigers)

The 28-year-old's uplift in form since being dropped by Jones continued with another Impressive display as Leicester Tigers beat Bath 40-23 at Welford Road on Friday night.

Leicestershire Live: "His kicking in-play put Leicester in the positions they needed to make the most of their prolific scoring in the 24 although Ford didn’t have quite the same sparkle ball-in-hand.

"But that didn’t matter, his try was great heads-up rugby and he was flawless off the tee despite the fireworks going off around Welford Road."

#2. Sam Simmonds (Exeter Chiefs)

Despite Chiefs loss, Simmonds provided his usual dynamism when he came on.

Devon LIve: "Replaced George Capstick on 45 minutes and was typically dangerous when ever he had the ball in total advancing for 41 metres in 11 carries. Very nearly scored on a couple of occasions and showed once again how much quality he possesses. Like the rest of the team will be disappointed his efforts weren’t enough to get the win."

#3. Ben Earl (Saracens)

Most other countries would dearly love to be able to pick a player of Earl’s calibre. A seriously quick, dynamic athlete, the 22-year-old was one of Sarries best players as they were held to 34-34 draw by London Irish. It is odd that Earl has been chosen to play 13 Tests by Jones since first being selected to tour South Africa in 2018 but has yet to be trusted to make a single start.

#4. Ben Stevenson (Newcastle Falcons)

While his speedster teammate Adam Radwan has been grabbing all of the headlines, centre Stevenson has also been scoring tries for fun this season and was on the scoresheet as the Falcons beat Exeter 15-14 at Sandy Park. Fans are finally starting to switch on to how good he actually is, and you'd hope Jones might take a look.

#5. Dan Kelly (Leicester Tigers)

He's looking like a proper player. I thought the 20-year-old inside-centre was every bit as good as George Ford against Northampton and he was seriously impressive against Bath.

Leicestershire Live: "He enjoyed telepathic chemistry with Scott, his teammate had the more impressive stats sheet but his two big breaks were thanks largely to the work of Kelly.

"He put Scott free twice in the space of a few minutes in the lead-up to Leicester’s second try. We’re seeing more and more of the subtleties of his game, including one fine offloaded in the second half."
