According to The Rugby Paper, Callum Braley is in talks with Gloucester about leaving Kingsholm following an approach from Benetton Treviso.
Speaking about the possible move, head coach Johan Ackermann said: “David (Humphreys, director of rugby) will answer that. I think they’re in the process of talking between the clubs and Cal and what his future is holding.”
Despite closing in on 100 appearances for the Cherry and Whites, his gametime has become limited after finding himself behind Joe Simpson and Willi Heinz in the pecking order.
Braley has won five Italy caps so far, two of which came during this year’s World Cup, and a move to the Italian Pro14 side Benetton could be seen to boost his international ambitions.
