Vincent Koch transfer saga has unexpected turnaround

World Cup-winning prop Vincent Koch is set to stay at Saracens despite their relegation to the Championship in a dramatic turnaround.
It was only Monday that The Rugby Paper reported that the tighthead was close to joining Sale Sharks.
However, according to the Evening Standard, the Springbok will join Jamie George and Elliot Daly at Saracens next year amid uncertainty over the future of plenty of other players.
They report that 'Koch discussed a move to Sale and Scarlets' but is understood to have decided to remain with Saracens until the end of the 2021/22 season and will not go on loan next season.

Nick Isiekwe | The lock has held talks with Gloucester but Sale is his most likely destination, according to the Mail Online.

Jack Singleton | The hooker had been targeted by Leicester Tigers, but is now likely joining Gloucester
Richard Wigglesworth | According to the Mail Online, the scrum-half is considering a return home to Sale, possibly on a coaching deal. He could also join Championship side Ealing, where he already works as a coach.
Alex Lozowski | The versatile back has been the subject of interest from Sale and Gloucester but Bath are also favourites to land the five-cap midfielder, according to Somerset Live.
Ben Spencer | The playmaker is close to agreeing a move to Bath. They looked at fellow No 9s Rhys Webb and Ali Price before the Englishman became available.
George Kruis | The lock is considering a move to Japan, where the 29-year-old lock could command a deal worth around £500,000 a year. Northampton Saints are also said to be interested, but could be priced out of a move.
